The world tour is supported globally by Cisco and by local partners at each city. Startups participating to each FastTrack have the potential to be selected to the Startupbootcamp FoodTech acceleration program.
Each selected ecosystem will be visited by the Startupbootcamp Foodtech team in its 2016 FastTrack World Tour, according to the following 10 event schedule:

Each FastTrack is a highly targeted one-day event whose main aim is to provide highly qualified feedback to a very selected number of startups from each ecosystem. Its main goal is to deliver “real” value to the selected teams, including connections to investors and business partners. Each FastTrack is also an opportunity for local startups and investors to meet with the management of the Startupbootcamp FoodTech accelerator which is based in Rome, Italy.
The 10 nominated ecosystems have been chosen by running a complete scan of the global foodtech startup environment. The Startupbootcamp FoodTech team has analyzed per each region in the world the following data: foodtech startups originated, deals generated, capital invested, local support by ecosystem players such as incubators, accelerators, business angels, funds and governmental organizations.
“We believe that digital transformation can enhance the customer experience and increase quality and efficiency for the agrifood companies” said Enrico Mercadante, Technical Operations Leader of Cisco in Southern Europe. “We want to meet the top talents and innovations from all over the world. Cisco is supporting the Startupbootcamp Foodtech FastTrack world Tour as part of our Innovation Exchange initiative in Italy, where companies, startups, accelerators and academia can meet and accelerate digital transformation in the food industries.”
Startupbootcamp FoodTech has recently announced its first call for foodtech startups from all over the world. Applications end by September 19, 2016.
