Great success for the launch event of the Incubation Program on artificial intelligence AI WorkLab, launched by LVenture Group and LUISS ENLABS in partnership with BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas, BNP Paribas Cardif, Sara Assicurazioni, Cerved Group and Payback

Rome, September 26th 2017

Yesterday, Monday September 25, the Roman innovation hub LUISS ENLABS hosted “THE ROAD TO SUPERINTELLIGENCE – Innovative Corporates and Institutions with Artificial Intelligence”, launch event of the Incubation Program on artificial intelligence AI WorkLab, presented by LVenture Group, holding listed on the Italian Stock Exchange investing in startups and managing the Accelerator LUISS ENLABS, in partnership with BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas, BNP Paribas Cardif, Sara Assicurazioni, Cerved Group and Payback.

The event was an occasion to discuss and tackle opportunities and challenges related to artificial intelligence, which promises to accelerate technological progress by bringing innovation to corporates and institutions. Participants were welcomed by Luigi Capello, CEO of LVenture Group and LUISS ENLABS, and Augusto Coppola, Director of LUISS ENLABS Acceleration Programs, who presented the AI WorkLab program. AI WorkLab’s corporate partners explained their reasons to join the project and their interest in artificial intelligence in a panel moderated by Barbara Gasperini, journalist of Corriere della Sera. The speakers were:

The event was enriched by speeches from Paolo Merialdo, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Roma Tre, and Guido Scorza, Head of Regulatory Affairs of the Digital Transformation Team of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and by a concluding “fireside chat” between Luigi Capello and Marco Trombetti, CEO Translated and Founder of Pi Campus.

AI WorkLab is part of the Open Innovation initiatives that LVenture Group organizes to connect startups and large companies, which have already generated 15 business projects that have raised over 1 million Euros in less than 6 months. “This time, we focus on artificial intelligence to bring innovation to the corporate world: we’re talking about a $12.5 billion turnover in 2017, +59.3% over 2016, and, according to estimates, in 2025 the value of this market will be close to $60 billion” said Luigi Capello, CEO of LVenture Group and LUISS ENLABS – “In the near future, AI will be central to the competitiveness of companies. AI WorkLab will offer teams, selected through a call open until November 30th 2017, the opportunity to transform their business idea into a startup with the support of LUISS ENLABS’ experts and partner companies, receiving a grant of 2,500 Euros (equity free) and entering a three-month program beginning in January 2018 and taking place in Rome, at LUISS ENLABS.
