Deesup<\/b><\/span><\/span>, the first marketplace to purchase and sale iconic and second-hand design furniture, <\/span><\/span>has closed a new \u20ac 1.4M investment round<\/b><\/span><\/span>, signed by <\/span><\/span>Alicrowd <\/b><\/span><\/span>Fund, <\/span><\/span>LVenture Group<\/b><\/span><\/span>, the <\/span><\/span>Club degli Investitori<\/b><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Doorway <\/b><\/span><\/span>and <\/span><\/span>LifeGate<\/b><\/span><\/span>, among the others.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Together with <\/span><\/span>AZ ELTIF \u2013 ALIcrowd<\/b><\/span><\/span> – established by Azimut Investments SA and managed by Azimut Libera Impresa SGR SpA in partnership with <\/span><\/span>Mamacrowd<\/b><\/span><\/span>, the most important Italian investments platform for equity crowdfunding – the first venture capital ELTIF that uses crowdfunding to search for companies to invest in, <\/span><\/span>LVenture Group<\/b><\/span><\/span> is among the main lenders. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

LVenture Group already signed the closure of the first round of investment of 300 thousand euros in September 2019, along with some business angels, after launching Deesup in 2018 through its <\/span><\/span>LUISS EnLabs<\/b><\/span><\/span> Acceleration Program.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Luigi Mastromonaco, Head of Investments & Portfolio Growth of LVenture Group <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>explains<\/span><\/span><\/span>: “Deesup has kept growing globally over the years, bringing high-end Italian design abroad, from where an ever-increasing percentage comes of the volumes generated by the startup. Il <\/span><\/span><\/span>Club degli Investitori<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> participated in the capital increase – carrying out the transaction through Simon Fiduciaria of the Ersel Group and the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Doorway<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> portal – together with the angel business groups <\/span><\/span><\/span>Angels for Women<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> and <\/span><\/span><\/span>Angels for Impact,<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> led by Antonella Grassigli, CEO of Doorway, as well as the Italian Business Angel of the Year for 2021.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Representing the <\/span><\/span>Club degli Investitori<\/b><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Angels for Women <\/b><\/span><\/span>and<\/span><\/span> Angels for Impact, <\/b><\/span><\/span>the Champion <\/span><\/span>Paolo Giolito<\/b><\/span><\/span> explains: “<\/span><\/span>Deesup\u2019s metrics have proven to attract and satisfy an ever-increasing number of users on the platform looking for an iconic object, which is often difficult to find, with a full-stack service and great attention to the environment “.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Investors also included <\/span><\/span>LifeGate Way<\/b><\/span><\/span>, the subsidiary of the <\/span><\/span>LifeGate Group<\/b><\/span><\/span>, which chose to invest in Deesup as a scalable example of a circular, innovative and \u201csustainable native\u201d economy model.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Deesup continues to experience significant growth. To date, the startup has over 100 partners among the main players in the furniture market and in 2021 it doubled its sales results compared to the previous year, with an average shopping cart of over \u20ac 900.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

This \u20ac 1.4M round, \u20ac 300,000 in debt financing, will allow Deesup to support its international growth, which\u00a0started in 2019 after the closure of the first round. With these new funds, the startup will consolidate its presence in Italy, Germany, France and Benelux and other main countries where it already operates, to then expand and scale into new markets.
