Confirmo, the app that makes people aware of digital signatures, closes a €445K round led by CDP Venture Capital Sgr

Confirmo, the app that digitizes the processes related to the informed consent of a document to be signed, has closed a new investment round of 445,000 euros in which CDP Venture Capital Sgr participated, through the dual intervention of the Accelerators Fund and Fondo Italia Venture II – Fondo Imprese Sud, for a total investment of €300,000, LVenture Group, NextUp and business angels.

Developed by young professionals who are experts in the field of digital technologies and accelerated by LUISS EnLabs, the Acceleration Program of LVenture Group, Confirmo informs the user who has to sign a complex document – from informed consents in the health sector or for the treatment of personal data, to contracts and documents in the banking and insurance sector – in an interactive way and assisting him during the process of acquiring information.

The app provides information to users who have to sign a document, certifying that they understand it. Confirmo analyzes the user’s answers, certifying that the user has actually understood what was communicated. At the end of the procedure, Confirmo generates the file of the signed document reporting also the results of the learning test. The document is signed with an advanced electronic signature (FEA) or a qualified electronic signature (FEQ), according to European and Italian regulations, and stored in a cloud infrastructure for legally binding electronic storage that guarantees maximum data security.

The startup to date has delivered over 60,000 successfully signed documents, with 98% positive feedback and no user complaints. The service is used by public and private organizations including IFO in Rome, Fondazione Poliambulanza in Brescia and Novartis.

“In the path towards the digitalization of our country, it is essential to recognize the value of all the key elements that allow to simplify and optimize processes, starting from the bureaucratic and administrative ones. This is why we are happy to contribute to the growth of Confirmo, which will thus be able to accelerate the expansion of its service throughout the country in the most strategic and important areas for users themselves, such as healthcare, banking and insurance”. Commented Francesca Ottier, Head of Fondo Italia Venture II – Fondo Imprese Sud of CDP Venture Capital SGR – Fondo Nazionale Innovazione.

“Confirmo has developed an app that simplifies extremely complex processes, such as those related to informed consent and understanding articulated documents. The versatility of the solution developed can intercept the digital transformation needs of different sectors, from healthcare to banking and insurance. This capital increase confirms our confidence in the growth path of the startup that can establish itself in a very large potential market, with a global value of more than 50 billion dollars”, said Luigi Mastromonaco, Head of Investments & Growth at LVenture Group.

“We are thrilled that important investors have placed their trust in our company, accompanying us in our development plan.” reported Marco Cappellini CEO and Co-Founder of Confirmo “Thanks to the funds raised, Confirmo will have the resources to continue the commercial expansion, research and product development aimed at making the digital signature of a document increasingly aware, simple and secure thanks to advanced digital tools designed on a human scale and accessible to all”.
