Exor Seeds co-invests in Teta, the Gen Z low-code app builder

The startup has developed the next generation low-code app builder, reaching more than 110,00 users worldwide in just a few months and developing on social media a growing community of “Teta lovers”

Teta, a low-code app builder that allows creating apps within days, has secured its first investment round led by Exor Seeds. Business angels Benedetta Arese Lucini, Michele Fontolan and Luca Ascani (seed investor and part of the Accel Starter programme) participated in the funding round.

Teta is the first app builder in the world to integrate real-time collaboration, allowing teams to cooperate in the app creation process and solve workflow problems. Thanks to Teta everyone can develop high-quality full-customised apps and share them on online stores directly by smartphone, saving time and money.

The startup, accelerated by LVenture Group, started with a global approach from day zero. The “Alpha” version, launched at the end of September 2021, in just six months has reached more than 110,000 registered users from over 160 different countries in the world which have developed 85,000 app projects. The “Teta lovers” community today counts more than 300,000 followers on social media: +200,000 on TikTok, +90,000 on Instagram, +10,000 on Discord. The startup boom on TikTok, driven by a fresh and engaging communication style, is widely mentioned as a real organic-growth case study. Teta is already one of the most followed dev-oriented SaaS and one of the most in-vogue platforms, especially for the Z Generation.

The Gen Z team, the open approach and the out-of-the-box use of social media are Teta’s growth drivers: “Our strength is to think about the future differently from our competitors, using different communication channels, in an original and unconventional way. We are delighted to start this journey with Exor, we like their approach, and we believe we can create something great together. With this first capital increase, Teta wants to continue to grow. We will expand the team to improve the product day by day, with a more performing user experience, always focused on users’ needs. We expect to release the Beta version in the coming months” said Andrea Buttarelli, Teta Co-founder and CEO.
