LVenture Group S.p.A., a Venture Capital holding company listed on the Italian Stock Exchange that invests in digital high-growth potential startups, announces the exit from the startup Filo, acquired by Traveler Innovations Ltd, a global leader in the juvenile products market, with presence in over 80 countries worldwide.
With the sale of LVenture Group’s whole shareholding in Filo, the company makes its thirteenth exit, confirming the ongoing process of enhancement and maturation of its portfolio.
Founded in 2014 by Giorgio Sadolfo, Lapo Ceccherelli, Andrea Gattini and Stefania De Roberto, Filo was accelerated in the same year by LUISS EnLabs, LVenture Group’s acceleration programme, and has raised over €3 million from co-investors including LVenture Group, Pi Campus and Al.Pe Invest.
Since first launching the Filo Tag, a tracker that helps users find everyday objects such as keys and bags, Filo developed its Bluetooth technology and created the Tata Pad, a child anti-abandonment device, that detects the presence of children, who were left alone in car seats, and alerts the parent, or emergency contacts of such situations. Soon after the launch of Tata Pad Filo became one of the leading companies in the sector.
The acquisition of Filo confirms the growing interest of global corporations in startups and technologies developed in our country.
Congratulations to the Founders for their determination in reaching this milestone and good luck to them in pursuing their ambitious future goals.
