LVenture Group, a publicly traded venture capital holding company and one of Europe’s leading startup accelerators, has renewed its strategic partnership with Accenture, a global professional services company with advanced digital, cloud and security capabilities, through 2022.
Accenture has been supporting LUISS EnLabs, LVenture Group’s Acceleration Program born from a joint venture with Luiss University, since 2016 and has contributed to the birth of the more than 80 startups accelerated over the span of the partnership.
With the renewal of the collaboration, Accenture will be a partner of LVenture’s Acceleration Program until 2022, continuing to support the birth of the Italian digital entrepreneurship of the future. Furthermore, several synergistic activities will be developed in the field of Open Innovation, starting with new Pre-Acceleration Programs: paths that aim to respond to specific market needs in vertical sectors, through collaboration between startups and corporations in the co-creation of innovative solutions.
The previous editions, carried out by LVenture Group and corporate partners in the field of Cybersecurity, IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Smart Cities have led to the development of more than 50 startups, of which 20 have received subsequent investment and 6 have carried out collaborative projects with large companies. Thanks to the partnership with Accenture, new Pre-Acceleration Programs will be realized on the central trends for the digital “new normal” such as Smart Care, the application of innovative technologies to respond to the new needs of everyday life, new challenges in the field of health, changes in the insurance sector.
The synergies in Open Innovation will continue with the creation of paths for the generation of innovative ideas and projects in the company and the enhancement of corporate talent (Corporate Entrepreunership) based on Accenture’s know-how in digital transformation and on the methodology of excellence of LVenture Group’s Acceleration Program.
Collaborations will also be implemented, leveraging startups from LVenture Group’s portfolio and Accenture’s network, to accelerate companies’ digital transformation processes, including through the creation of Proof of Concept (PoC).
“We believe that the continuous collaboration between start-ups and companies for the co-creation of new solutions can generate an important value for the economic system of our country,” commented Sandro Bacan, Innovation Lead at Accenture Italia. “Through this partnership, we want to bring together digital experiences and skills, connecting the most promising start-ups with our innovation network, to conceive, implement and bring to scale new business models.“
“We are very proud to continue our collaboration with Accenture, with whom we share the propensity for change and value creation through innovation. Accenture is one of the main players at global level in the field of digital transformation and the synergies in the Open Innovation area with the startups in our portfolio can accelerate the innovation processes of Italian companies, today increasingly necessary for the competitiveness of our entrepreneurial fabric in the post-Covid restart,” said Luigi Capello, CEO of LVenture Group.
